Welcome to my Fat busting, belly thinning blog...
As some of you know I already keep two other blogs elsewhere on the net, but I recently decided to lose some (!) weight and I've decided to keep a blog about my progress.
Why?
Well, in the hope that it will help and encourage me to keep going and to get to my goals...but also so I can try out different ways of trying to lose the weight and I can let you know what works too...
So here we go...
The reason that I've decided to try to lose weight is because at 5ft 2in I *should NOT* be weighing in at 13stone 4ounces!! No matter the fact that I've had 3 kids...it's no excuse and it's just way too hefty. So I've set myself an interim target to lose enough weight to take me down to 11 stone and I'm aiming to do that in the next 3/4 months. From there I'll probably look to go to about 9 stone ish and see what it looks like...I used to be a size 12 and I'd like to go back to that if possible. I'm currently a size 16 so it's a bit of a trek so help and encouragement is greatly appreciated...especially as temptation is in my way every day in the form of thesweet shop I work in! Ekkkk!
So anyway I'm going to attempt to shift the weight. I joined a Slimming World club last Wednesday with my good friend Maddy who has managed to lose a significant amount of weight this way. So if I can do half as well I'll be happy.
I'm also starting to (and this really is a dirty word to me btw!) exercise. I've bought the Davina McCall Super Fit video...I did it for the first time today and managed to do 15 mins of the Super workout (approx 30 mins long!) before I died and then I managed (strangely) to do the whole of the super abs part (approx 20 mins long!) and felt ok at the end of it!
For food today I've had fruit salad, and a bowl of mini shredded wheat with semi skimmed milk for breakie.
For lunch I had a tin of tomatoes, 2 poached eggs and a slice of wholemeal bread.
For tea it was spag bol made with passatta and I used a schwartz lasagna flavouring packet thingy.
So all in all it's not been a bad day.
However that said I'm convinced I'm not going to lose weight before next weeks weigh in...only time will tell I guess. :-)

ReplyDeleteWell done and power to you! I really hope the diet thing works for you. For me, it's the red wine that's a killer. Hoever it's NOT a kill-joy though hahaha!
One thing I can recommend - WALK!!! Put your trainers on and walk for ages and ages, as long as you can. Don't stroll. Do a fast paced brisk walk. Also, look for a book/video called Chi-Walking by Denny Dreyer, soon you'll get on to Chi-Running. Hey maybe I should set up a weight loss blog too. Lawd knows I need the encouragement!!

PS: I'm dying to be a size 12!
cheers babes - me too - I'm aiming for size 12 then hopefully heading to a 10 if I can after that!! Size Zero here I come!! (not!!) I'll look out for that vid and take the advice on Walking hun. cheers babes.
