OMG!!



I went to my fat club on Wednesday and I fully expected to have NOT lost any weight and have actually have put weight on. So I gingerly stepped onto the scales only to find I'd lost 3.5lbs that week!!! That's the most I'd lost in a week so far on this diet and I was well chuffed and surprised!!

So hopefully this week I'll be able to do 2 lbs at least and if I can keep losing at 2lbs a week then I'll be more than happy! I want to get to about 9.5 stone and I'm currently at 12 stone 11.5lbs...I started at 13 stone 4 so I'm glad that after 3 weeks I've lost nearly half a stone.

Another good thing is that I've lost a dress size already too and in fact I've got into a size 12 skirt today!!! (I don't think it can be a true size 12 tho) but I'm defo not a size 16 anymore as my clothes are really hanging off me and I can now get into a size 14 with ease. But I want to get to a size 10/12 to start with and see how it looks on me - but if needs be I'll go to a size 8.

So onward and downward on the scales eh? :-)

Damn...


I managed to lose 2lbs last week and at the class on Wednesday I put my hand up to try to lose 3lbs this week...however I went to a summer fayre yesterday and had Pimms (quite a bit) a cake AND an ice cream and then today I went to a street fayre and had a lemon and lime pastry (I had to as it's a product by a new buyer of the toffee - they want to put my toffee in their tarts so it *would* have been rude to say no!!!) and then I had an ice cream at Dixon's ice cream parlor in Huddersfield - for research purposes only mind...and it has to be said that it soooooo wasn't worth it. I frankly don't know what folk are raving about when it comes to their ice cream - they have one flavour and it's runny and milky and the service in their shop was rubbish!! But to balance all this crap I've been eating - I did go for a walk today, up hill to Horbury for 30 mins and I've got every intention of sticking back to the diet and keeping to it between now and Wednesday - but I seriously doubt I will have lost 3lbs! :-( Oh well next week is a new week!!

Welcome!

Welcome to my Fat busting, belly thinning blog...

As some of you know I already keep two other blogs elsewhere on the net, but I recently decided to lose some (!) weight and I've decided to keep a blog about my progress.

Why?

Well, in the hope that it will help and encourage me to keep going and to get to my goals...but also so I can try out different ways of trying to lose the weight and I can let you know what works too...

So here we go...

The reason that I've decided to try to lose weight is because at 5ft 2in I *should NOT* be weighing in at 13stone 4ounces!! No matter the fact that I've had 3 kids...it's no excuse and it's just way too hefty. So I've set myself an interim target to lose enough weight to take me down to 11 stone and I'm aiming to do that in the next 3/4 months. From there I'll probably look to go to about 9 stone ish and see what it looks like...I used to be a size 12 and I'd like to go back to that if possible. I'm currently a size 16 so it's a bit of a trek so help and encouragement is greatly appreciated...especially as temptation is in my way every day in the form of thesweet shop I work in! Ekkkk!

So anyway I'm going to attempt to shift the weight. I joined a Slimming World club last Wednesday with my good friend Maddy who has managed to lose a significant amount of weight this way. So if I can do half as well I'll be happy.

I'm also starting to (and this really is a dirty word to me btw!) exercise. I've bought the Davina McCall Super Fit video...I did it for the first time today and managed to do 15 mins of the Super workout (approx 30 mins long!) before I died and then I managed (strangely) to do the whole of the super abs part (approx 20 mins long!) and felt ok at the end of it!

For food today I've had fruit salad, and a bowl of mini shredded wheat with semi skimmed milk for breakie.
For lunch I had a tin of tomatoes, 2 poached eggs and a slice of wholemeal bread.
For tea it was spag bol made with passatta and I used a schwartz lasagna flavouring packet thingy.

So all in all it's not been a bad day.

However that said I'm convinced I'm not going to lose weight before next weeks weigh in...only time will tell I guess. :-)
